Our client is in search of a skilled individual to lead the design, development, and maintenance of comprehensive database systems. This role involves managing application lifecycles, embracing emerging technologies, and delivering robust user support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engineer and maintain efficient data pipelines using tools like SSIS or Azure Data Factory, underpinning critical business functions.
• Play a central role in the architecture and implementation of innovative data engineering initiatives.
• Implement leading-edge techniques and methodologies in solution development.
• Employ best practices in data modelling and DWH design utilizing SQL Server or Azure Synapse.
• Collaborate with data analysts to create new models that maximize the utility of data.
• Craft detailed design specifications and documentation for data-related projects.
• Address and resolve database performance issues with effective solutions.
• Engage in strategic database design and data architecture decisions.
• Develop advanced reporting with Power BI and Analysis Services Tabular models.
Professional Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field with proficiency in data warehouse design and data mining.
• Over 3 years of experience with the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack, including SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI (nice to have).
• Profound knowledge of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL processes.
• Expertise in SQL and familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Data Factory would be beneficial, but not a must.
• Experience with SAP data models is a soft bonus.
Language Skills:
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as German, French, or Italian are advantageous.
