On behalf of our client, a multinational firm, Swisslinx are looking for an experience Java Developer on a long term contractual basis, based in Zurich. In order to aid the IT team our client are looking for a well-rounded, communicative and approachable Java Developer with experience in the financial industry. This an exciting opportunity to work within a team driven environment for a collaborative international company.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Involved in the technical concept and design of the solution
-Prominent role in the implementation
-Document the implementation
-Prominent role in the test phase
-Document the technical solution
-Support production processes e.g. monitoring and issue resolution
-Working in close contact with project lead, IT team and business analysts

Background and Experience:
-Over 5 years’ experience as a Java Developer
-Experience working in the financial industry (banking or insurance)
-Extensive experience with Object-Orientated software development (e.g. Java Spring)
-Experience with continuous integration and development tools; Eclipse, Maven, Bamboo
-Experience with test driven development (e.g. Junit)
-Experience in designing software components for high performance
-Experience in designing software components in large data volumes
-Experience in batch programming
-Knowledge of relational databases; SQL
-Knowledge of Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
-Fluent English
