Job Title: ICT System Engineer
Contract Period: 25/11/2024 to 30/06/2025 (with potential for extension or internalisation)
Our client in the telecommunications industry is seeking two ICT System Engineers to support their expanding operations within a large-scale private cloud project. This contract role, with an employment level of 100%, offers the attractive possibility of internalisation, subject to performance, and the flexibility of remote work options.
Position Requirements
- Positions Available: 2
- Employment Level: Full-time, 100%
- Language Requirement: Proficiency in German (minimum B2) and English
Responsibilities
- Requirements Engineering: Assess and analyse new or modified requirements for feasibility, complexity, and impact on
current and future systems, standards, and guidelines.
- System Architecture: Design and implement system architecture, choosing appropriate hardware, software, and
components, ensuring compatibility and feasibility.
- System Deployment: Plan, migrate, configure, and test systems (hardware, software, networks) and oversee their transition
to production environments.
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose, resolve, and implement corrective actions for technical issues.
- Service-Level Baselines: Establish and maintain service-level baselines and escalation processes.
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including architecture descriptions and feasibility analyses.
Main Tasks
- Active Directory (AD) Management: Oversee AD infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and LDAP.
- AD Upgrades and Migrations: Manage AD upgrades, migrations, and organisational changes.
- Security Practices: Implement AD security practices, including MFA, certificates, and access controls.
- Troubleshooting & Optimisation: Troubleshoot AD issues, perform regular security and patch updates, and optimise
directory services.
- Automation: Develop automation scripts using PowerShell.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with IT security and networking teams to align on system security and integrity.
- Technical Documentation: Document processes and technical procedures to maintain compliance and best practices.
Education and Skills Requirements:
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, or equivalent
Experience
- Proven experience in hybrid environments, particularly Azure AD integration and large enterprise AD administration.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, GPOs, LDAP, Windows Server, and AD security policies, including MFA.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- ADFS and Azure AD experience are advantageous.
