On behalf of one of our clients, an innovative financial institution based in Basel, Swisslinx is looking for an Event Manager with experience in planning and executing big, international events. In this versatile role, you will design event plans, liaise with stakeholders, and oversee event execution.
This is a temporary position until 31st March 2025 with high possibility of extension. The working capacity is 70 – 100% with a start date as soon as possible.
Your Mission:
• Lead the organization of events like summits, hackathons, and conferences
• Manage design, promotion, financials, IT, and logistics for events
• Track event progress, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are addressed
• Create strategies and improve 'how-to' guides for event planning
• Maintain regular contact with internal teams and external guests
• Organize and coordinate with guest speakers for events
• Handle attendee registrations, send invitations, and manage queries from the events mailbox
Your profile:
• 5+ years of experience in organizing large scale events internationally
• Previous experience in managing projects with tight deadlines
• Fluent English skills
• Previous experience in a Fintech, start-up or an innovation space is considered an advantage
• Exceptional stakeholder management with ability to navigate ambiguity and collaborate with senior leaders and diverse teams
• Prior working experience within a FinTech or start-up would be considered an advantage
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and MS Teams
