On behalf of our client, a leading international biotechnology company based in Visp, Swisslinx is looking for a Material Planner. In this role, you will take charge of material planning, master the art of procurement, optimize inventory, and lead impactful process improvements, all while keeping operations seamless and compliant with top industry standards.
Contract type – Contract
Start Date – November
Location – Visp, Canton Wallis
Workload – 100%
Duration – initially 6 months, likely to be internalised
Work location – hybrid, 3 days on site in Visp
Your Mission:
• Manage material planning by creating VSF for independent requirements and converting purchase requisitions into timely purchase orders, considering supplier lead times and release times.
• Maintain and adjust purchase orders based on supplier confirmations and communicate with suppliers if delivery dates do not meet requirements.
• Liaise with the Operational Buyer and escalate issues as necessary using the Procurement tracker.
• Oversee release processes and coordinate with QA for release prioritization, identifying key roadblocks and reporting to the line manager.
• Ensure accurate master and transactional data, maintaining material master data parameters and checking real-time transactional data to reflect the current status.
• Manage inventory to reduce excess materials and prevent losses or scrap.
• Drive process improvements by contributing to global and local initiatives, defining standardized KPIs, and proposing best practices.
• Document processes following cGMP and ISO 9001 standards and ensure financial regulation compliance.
• Promote and adhere to company culture, code of conduct, and regulatory compliance.
Your Background:
• 3-5 years experience in material planning and procurement processes.
• Strong communication skills for supplier management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of cGMP and ISO 9001 standards, with a focus on process improvement and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage inventory efficiently and reduce excess stock.
