On behalf of one of our clients, a global financial institution based in Basel, Swisslinx is looking for a Risk Management Operations Specialist to join the local team. This would be a temporary position until the 30th of September 2024 (possibility to extend), starting as soon as possible.
Your Mission:
• Oversee and coordinate the operation and maintenance of processes, policies, and controls for measuring the bank's financial risks and the balance sheet valuation.
• Oversee the daily monitoring of market, credit, and liquidity risks, as well as financial leverage.
• Manage controls and mitigation of financial risks by ensuring compliance with established limits, identifying, and reporting policy exceptions, and guaranteeing the proper documentation of the bank's risk frameworks and policies.
• Contribute to the production of reports and dashboards, on market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, financial leverage, valuation, performance for all levels, ranging from dealers to management and the public.
• Ensure the appropriateness of information reported to various stakeholders, including the Head of Risk Management, the Deputy General Manager, and relevant departments.
Your profile:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial risk management within banking.
• Experience in risk operations and reporting with a focus on risk management.
• University degree (bachelor or equivalent) in a relevant field preferably with a quantitative focus.
• Knowledge of financial markets, products (mainly fixed income and derivatives), and their representation across risk types (e.g. market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk etc).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Flair for numbers, ability to set numbers into context and interpret them.
• Team-oriented with highly qualified, technically minded staff.
• Another major international language an advantage.
