As the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Engineer with experience in Kubernetes / OpenShift Container Platforms to implement a new custom developed Business Process Management application

This is an initial contract running for 12+ months with strong likelihood to extend on a long term basis (up to max five years) based on the project road maps, with start date by October.

As part of the implementation of a new BPM tool, you would join a diverse business facing team of 10 SW and Data Engineers.

The first process has been deployed to production and the team is currently underway implementing further processes for the Back Office department.

Responsibilities includes:

• Design, implement and test .NET micro-services as part of an agile DevSecOps team;
• Document design and implementation decisions;
• Requirements analysis, design, initial testing for the system within a team context.
• Communicate and coordinate with other team members related to various workstreams.
• Provide on-call support.
• Contribute to wider discussions on how to design/architect systems.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess as many of the following skills as possible:

• At least five years' SW development experience of which at least 2 years should be in C#/.NET Core & micro-services
• Experience in Kubernetes / OpenShift Container Platform is mandatory
• A passion for clean code, software craftsmanship and automated testing (TDD a plus), and the ability to impart this knowledge to others.
• Strong hands-on experience with message queues (ideally Kafka),
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (HDFS is a plus),
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Enterprise Log Management platforms (e.g. ELK stack). Fluency in English

The following are nice to have but not mandatory:

• Experience with Blazor
• Experience with Elsa workflows
• Knowledge of Back Office processes (Financial transactions lifecycle, SWIFT messaging system)

Please note interviews would be conducted via video call (max two rounds), however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. Our client offers:
