On behalf of our client, an international Biotechnology company based in Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to support the team in Bio Process Science within the Department of Research & Development. This is a 6-month contract position with a great opportunity to bring your proven knowledge and expertise to an organization that offers a dynamic working environment.
Start date – As soon as possible
Duration – 6 months (maternity leave cover)
Extension – possible
Workload – 100%
Work location – Bern
Your mission:
• Work in a team of laboratory technicians and scientists and perform laboratory experiments as part of the optimization of manufacturing processes used to produce plasma derivatives
• Purification of proteins by chromatography and filtration
• Work closely with staff from the Production, Process Development, Bioanalytics departments and also BPS staff from other production sites
• Document results and evaluations according to our quality system
• Researching technical literature and writing reports and SOPs
Your profile:
• Completed training as a biotechnology, biology or chemistry laboratory technician or similar
• Professional experience in protein purification is preferred
• Skilled in handling laboratory equipment and processes
• Good written and spoken German and English skills (MANDATORY)
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
