Application Engineer JAVA

Job description:

You will implement business functionality in a multi-year finance transformation as Spring Boot microservices running in a cloud-native environment in MS Azure.

• Start: Asap or April 2025
• Duration: until End of DEC 2025, extention possible
• Pensum: 100%, 40h/week
• Seniority: Senior (7-10 years)

Your Mission

• Develop data integration- and business services using micro-service
• Ensure applications are performing and tested against requirements
• Ensure compliance with CI/CD and automated testing and build pipeline
• Prepare and write unit test for automated testing (end-to-end integration tests)
• Performing code reviews and fixing bugs and issues in deployed applications
• Demonstrate expert understanding of the Java application development stack and tools
• Understand architectural issues, and factor them into decisions and recommendations 

Requirements:

• 7-10 Years of experience as Application Engineer/Java Developer
• Strong knowledge of reactive architecture and micro-services: Spring Boot Experience with backend applications heavily interacting with databases. (SQL: programming in Postgres or Oracle/PL SQL)
• Experience with relational databases
• Proven expertise in writing unit tests and end to end integration tests
• Experience to work in a scrum team

Nice-to-haves skills, but not mandatory:

• Understanding of Native Cloud development, Kubernetes
• Work with CI/CD for integration and deployment: Expertise in automated build, test & deploy
• Experience in Azure
