Job description:
- Collaborate with business areas to understand their data needs and requirements.
- Define requirements for data products in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Design data models that meet business requirements.
- Assist in the creation of data workloads such as reports, queries, spreadsheets, and dashboards in the new data lakehouse platform.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Write and optimise SQL queries to support the creation and validation of the data workloads.
- Document processes, data models, and any changes to business workflows.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- Solid experience in data projects, ideally within financial services, commercial banking or a similar industry
- Deep understanding of business areas such as Middle Office, Risk, or Finance
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimise complex queries
- Strong experience in data modelling data lakehouse technologies (Snowflake, Iceberg, Databricks)
- Familiar with data platforms and modern data architecture principles.
