Job description:

Our client is a commodity trading group in Zug.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a young and motivated Business Controller to join their Finance team.

The ideal candidate would be familiar with the commodity trading sector and bring a few years of experience in Controlling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans to support business goals
  • Monitor performance and prepare insightful reports to drive decision making
  • Analyze financial results, track KPI’s and prepare monthly variance analysis
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal reporting standards
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization across trading and operational activities
  • Collaborate with management and trading teams to align objectives
  • Lead initiatives to streamline reporting and operational processes ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Reporting directly to the CFO

Requirements

 

  • Relevant education and training
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in the field of business controlling ideally with commodity trading background
  • Experience and skills in developing internal procedures
  • Fluency in English
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office software (MS Excel, Power point)
  • Independence in the execution of tasks
  • Business sense of responsibility
  • Ability to draw on different perspectives
  • A mindset for continuous development
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • CH/EU national, or existing Work permit for Switzerland
