Job description:

On behalf of our client, a leading agricultural science company, we are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support packaging development and testing in a regulated environment.

About the customer:

The client is a leading global agricultural company specializing in seeds, crop protection, and sustainable agricultural solutions to help farmers increase productivity and protect the environment.

Requirements:

Testing & Analysis:

  • Conduct professional and timely execution of packaging material tests, including quick tests, standard tests, shelf-life tests, and specification tests.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations within the Packaging Test Lab.
  • Perform routine and non-routine operations safely and efficiently.

Laboratory Operations & Maintenance:

  • Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist in the receipt, inspection, ordering, and stocking of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure HSE-compliant storage, testing, and waste management of all materials, including active substances and intermediates.

Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams within manufacturing plants, transportation, and storage sectors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with testing procedures, including adherence to GLP standards.
  • Support internal order management processes and recommend optimizations to improve efficiency.

Competences:

Education:

  • Trained Laboratory Technician or Chemical Technician.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in laboratory operations, including testing and documentation of packaging materials.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and HSE regulations within a laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with transport regulations and waste management processes.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in laboratory operations, order management, and documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of GLP and PFAS.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English; good German skills (B1 level or above) required.
