Oil Trading Operator

Job description:

Our client is an international Oil Trading group in Zug.

On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for an Oil Trading Operator to join their Shipping & Operations team.

Main Responsibilities

- Coordinate and oversee the physical movement of liquid products (oil, refined products, and petrochemicals) from loading to discharge.

- Interpret and execute contracts related to sales, purchases, and transportation. Ensure all terms and conditions are adhered to.

- Liaise with suppliers, customers, storage facilities, vessel operators, and shipping agents to optimize operations and resolve issues promptly.

- Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of quality and quantity, and customs documents.

- Monitor and manage inventory levels at storage locations to ensure operational efficiency.

- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs laws, and environmental standards. Identify and mitigate operational risks.

- Monitor operational costs, negotiate rates with service providers, and ensure cost-effective delivery of goods.

- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on operational performance and issues.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in Liquid/Oil Operations.

- Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and shipping operations.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and solve complex operational issues.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of trading and logistics software is a plus.

- Fluency in English; additional languages is a plus.

- Ability to be on-site in Zug 3 days per week.

- Swiss/EU national or relevant Swiss working permit.
