Department: Production & Supply – EngineeringJob Overview:Syngenta is seeking a Reliability Engineer & Rotating Machinery Specialist to provide technical expertise in maintaining and optimizing rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, agitators, etc.). This role will drive improvements in equipment reliability, develop lifecycle management standards, and support maintenance and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:Rotating Machinery Specialist:- Develop and enhance lifecycle standards for rotating equipment, from design to end-of-life.
- Communicate and enforce technical standards in collaboration with maintenance and production teams.
- Support internal teams in failure investigations and project implementation.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices, sharing knowledge at site and group levels.
- Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR) to drive performance improvements.
- Analyze malfunctions and production losses, conducting field investigations and root cause analyses.
- Develop corrective and improvement actions in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Perform equipment criticality assessments and determine the need for critical spare parts.
- 5-10 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering, specializing in rotating equipment and reliability.
- Strong expertise in centrifugal & positive displacement pumps, vacuum pumps, agitators, compressors, turbines.
- Experience in vibration diagnostics, failure mode analysis (RCM, FMEA), and maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, and condition-based).
- Proven ability to analyze failures and optimize production equipment performance.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or Reliability Engineering.
- Fluent in French, with technical English proficiency (B2 minimum).
- Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS tools (e.g., SAP-PM).
