Senior Auditor Professional Practices

Job description:

For our renowned client in the Insurance industry, we are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor Professional Practices in Zurich.

• Pensum: 100%, 41.25h/week
• Contract via Swisslinx
• Reason for hire: This specialist will temporarily fill the position during the time period of a maternity leave.  

Your Team:

You are part of the Professional Practices team within Group Internal Audit (GIA). Established in 2023, this team comprises of four qualified and experienced professionals, located in Zurich, Singapore and Armonk (two-week sprint). You will interact with members of the GIA Leadership Team, e.g. Audit Directors, other GIA teams, and auditors.

Your Mission:

• Combining internal auditing expertise with agile practices to support continuous improvement in GIA.
• Executing the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (audit reviews, thematic topics, management processes, IIA Self-assessment)
• Updating audit procedures, and organizing awareness sessions.
• Providing quality assurance over audit processes and provide wide-ranging support to GIA's Management Team, e.g. support them in the 2025 goals achievement, such as coordination and reliance on other assurance functions.
• Assisting in enhancing audit methodology as part of a cross-functional Methodology Board and promotes understanding across GIA.
• Supporting in designing and updating audit process related procedures, organise and facilitates awareness session regarding methodology changes, etc.

Requirements:

Your Profile:

• Minimum of 7 years of work experience as an auditor or quality assurance role (ideally in an internal audit function)
• University degree with Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CIA
• Excellent knowledge of internal auditing standards
• Familiar with audit documentation tool, e.g., TM+ is an advantage
• Critical thinker that sees the "big picture" (e.g. overall themes, trends, goals)
• Generates innovative ideas and solutions to problems and makes recommendations in the face of complexity
• Conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances, able to gain and maintain a trusted relationship while delivering difficult messages
• Team player, able to listen to others but also influence in order to see the wider picture and achieve a vision
• Business fluent in English (both verbal and written)
