We are currently recruiting for DevOps Engineer role with our client, a well-known bank. This role offers an exciting combination of area's:

• Cloud & Containerization
• CI/CD & Automation
• Programming & Scripting
• Observability & Monitoring
• Microservices & Distributed Systems Architecture

Your tasks:
• Drive the onboarding of the applications to the Cloud Native Stack
• Drive the onboarding of the teams to common platforms (Observability Testing Frameworks, …)
• Be a driver for Standardization and Automation within the Bank's Markets Technology
• Support to foster the engineering culture within the team
• Bring proven expertise in engineering practices and processes and have experience operating and supporting critical business systems on a global scale.
• Your experience with microservices, cloud-native applications and distributed systems will help the bank propel their business growth.
• As part of a highly collaborative team, contribute to the future Software Solutions strategy of the Bank's Markets division
• Support maintaining common platforms within Markets

Your Profile:
• Development background (java, dotnet, scala, python, javascript frontends)
• Deep architectural experience, and ability to elicit NFRs and document system designs
• Heavy CI/CD experience (Jenkins,TeamCity, GitLab, Octopus Deploy, maven, dotnet)
• Kubernetes deployments and experience with distributed architectures, and low-latency systems
• Experience with Azure Application Platform, especially AKS
• Good understanding of communication stacks (RabbitMq,Kafka, GRPC, web sockets)
• Observability tools (Grafana, ElasticSearch, fluent-bit, OpenTelemetry)
• Scripting skills (bash, powershell)
• Good understanding of security topics such as Oauth 2.0, TLS, and vulnerability scanning

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience and proficiency in architecting and writing code for microservices and distributed applications
• Operators, helm chart creation and maintenance

This is a contractor role with an initial contract of 12 months, option for extension/internalization at client
Place of work: 3 days per week in the office (Zürich, Switzerland) and 2 days per week WFH (within Switzerland)
