About the Role:
Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for a Senior Linux Software Engineer to join their team of experts. In this role, you will help improve and maintain the customised Linux systems used in various internal software projects. Your expertise will be key to ensuring their Linux infrastructure runs smoothly and supports critical operations.

If you are passionate about GNU/Linux and enjoy working with cutting-edge technology, this role offers exciting challenges and opportunities. You will be responsible for maintaining the company's customised Linux distribution and providing technical support for software and hardware troubleshooting.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide technical expertise in medical instrument and software development projects
- Develop and maintain the in-house Linux distribution and open-source tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux software and hardware issues, and perform root-cause analysis

What You’ll Need:
- A Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or at least 3 years of equivalent experience)
- More than 5 years of experience as a Senior Linux Software Engineer
- 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining customised Linux distributions
- 5 years of experience with Linux systems, especially Debian or Ubuntu
- Experience with embedded software, hardware drivers, ARM platforms, and hardware/software integration
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Go, web technologies, and shell scripting
- Strong understanding of operating systems and software building, testing, and packaging
- A collaborative team player with a “can-do” attitude, eager to solve problems and work independently
- Fluent in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:
- Experience with Virtualization/Container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with building Debian packages
